Wouldn't the pump last longer if mounted on the frame rail nearest the tank? I didn't think that electric pumps were meant to LIFT that far. They are designed to be pusher pumps more than lift aren't they?

yes the closer the pump to the tank the better they are made to push more than draw

the factory fuel system uses no check valve?? and the factory system has to pull all the way from the tank to the lift pump.

The stock lift pump has 2 check valves built in it, otherwise it would not pump fuel, all diaphragm pumps require check valves.

All i can say is WOW, the power that it has is crazzy now, one thing that scarys me is im putting 30psi now into the front of the pump, it seems like theres a ton of extra smoke now and 30pounds of boost is all i have been to but its there in seconds, you should here it wisle, nothing is leaking hotpipe is just a bit leaking got to put a small weld on, but wow i wonder if the extra fuel in the front is making more power, but im going for another test drive tonight cant wait

oh try sucking through a straw with a crack in it, thats what the problem was in the tank, got to pull the sucton line apart, and fix, just got to run with a full tank for now
