X2 on the mask! That sthi is not good for you, wear at least a dust mask to catch most of it, or you might not see your grandbabies. ;)

Harbor freight special. It's like a 1.5 or 1.8 tip. I don't recall what tip the paint was supposed to have. All my finish issues had to do with the tip size or it being set wrong.

Several tips is a bonus, but $230 is nuts IMCAO. (In my cheap azz opinion)

Yeah Caleb it's high to me too. Problem is I feel I'm more likely to create a decent finish with a good gun,and that's one of the oldest brands I could think of besides binks. From what I remember of binks guns they were twice as much as this one.

I've found the hvlp guns that Carquest sells work pretty darn good. Thicker paints should run a 1.8 tip. The paints I've used, rustolium, Gillespie, even the DuPont Nason line spray good using a 1.8 tip, thinned out of course

I stopped at horrible freight last night. Between the 25% coupon and a couple gift cards I had, I scored a 100' poly airline and a 750lb engine stand for an out of pocket cost of $16. Caleb should be proud.

Yay!

Some hate harbor freight, but I have realistic expectations for their goods. Something with absolutely no moving parts MAY last a few years with some luck, like a screw driver or a wrench. I painted several coats with their HVLP gun, but promptly threw it away in stead of cleaning it after the last coat. Power tools, NFW man. Wouldn't even take them if they were free.

I'm just jealous that Ellis can paint in February

I wouldn't waste money on HF paint guns. I still like the old suction feed guns.
