I think I paid about $70 for the Fleetguard equivalent. I have a smaller dry AFE cone type on now, no room for the BHAF.

Just enough power to break everything behind the crankshaft.

FWIW, a dry filter isn't the best at filtering, a "paper" filter is.

The go-to BHAF is a paper filter, it's the safest, best option. There are also dry filters that aren't paper, I run one. They flow as good as an oiled filter AFAIK, but mine get dirty hella fast. They are supposedly cleanable, but I let mine go too long.

The oiled ones probably aren't any worse than the dry ones. I figure they dry out and start to trap less fine stuff, but by that time, the dry gauze filters have been plugged up by fines and end up flowing less.

All IMO of course, but I'd still prefer a dry filter for the fact that if I don't take care of it it just makes the truck less efficient and doesn't potientally let stuff bypass.

I know a guy that ran a dry one and it got to dirty and sucked it together and killed the engine when he was driving it. lol. Kind of ruined it....
