I've got exhaust to figure out first. Bill gave me a webcite to go to, but its out in the garage, and its well below zero outside, so it can wait till tomorrow. I've decided to put the charger on, and the 4" exhaust, plus I've got a line on an HTT manifold for a good price. Then I'll try it, before I go with the second gen aftercooler. I'm kinda in the hunt for a 92-93 core support from a gasser, if my radiator will fit. That way I'm not cutting up a good diesel core support.

HHHhmmmm got a line on two of them. :D

Thats the next thing on my list very soon.

If you can't find a core support around your area I know where a 92/93 gasser is in a junkyard here. It had the R/F fender bent a little. But I don't think it got into the core support.

Nope, just one.... Can you go look at that truck and see if the radiator is the same mounting as a diesel?

It had a cross flow raditor if that is what you mean. I don't know if the opening was the same size as a CTD support.

It will need to warm up a little before I hit any junkyards.

Philip; does your down pipe have enough tube to allow you to modify it for your HX40? I found a company that has a stock exiting tailpipe and their system is 4" from the down pipe back. Its pretty reasonable too. Its the company Bill brags about. But they have no 4" downpipe. I'm just trying to figure out which route to go.

I finally picked up my exhaust manifold last night. I'm going to get exhaust hopefully soon.

Michael I went out and did some measuring for you. The down pipe I have can be cut down for the HX40 with out any problems. On the pic I am posting the cut line will be 1" back past where the 4" to 3" reducer is welded on.

The housing I have on the HX40 is a WG'd 16cm.

Oh come on Michael, cut, weld, cut, weld!!! Can't beat the price on the 4" system I showed you, then get your hx40 flange, a couple 90* 4" elbows, cut weld, cut weld etc :) . Thats what I'm in the process of right now with installing the Pro 52 on the 91.5. I told ya, bring that truck and all the pieces to the Hoosier and we'll fix you right up.

Bill, Matt must have taught you well with all of that "cut weld, cut weld! ;)

Now Tim you know how it works. Bill is doing the cutting and Matt is doing the welding.

Teamwork at its finest.

Oh yeah I know all about that, at work my friend Lynard is the cutter and I am the fitter. It is amazing how much wire you can run through a gun in a week! ;)

It must be nice to use wire all the time. Most of my work is using rods. I go threw about 25lbs a week on a average. Wire maybe 5 lbs.

Yeah it is nice, when we built our little storage building(120' X60') I did most of the stick welding on the frame and I went through 50 lbs. of stick.

Oh, crap. Now we have Bill and Tim in here! I have one more avenue I'm going to drive down before a final desicion on exhaust. I have to go get a bottle of gas for the welder before I can start welding up pipe! If'n I had a welder guy like you Bill, there'd be alot more done around here. I'm just a one man show, that fixes everyone else's junk first!

Go throw a mounting gasket on the HX 40 Philip. I did this today on my HTT manifold, and the manifold ports were as big as the holes in the gasket. I put it on the turbo, and the holes were about 1/8" smaller! I spent a little time with the dremel and made the turbo match the gasket to match the manifold. Dunno what a stock manifold looks like, so compare both before grinding away.
