Adding I/C Parts to a Non-I/C Engine

Postby ArtBee » Wed Apr 09, 2014 2:47 am

Hello everyone.

Recently got a very clean 91 Non- I/C D250, 727 truck. I also happen to have a 92 I/C parts truck. Main goals for the truck are fuel mileage/torque/towing 6,000 pounds behind it.

To switch it over to an I/C can I just change the turbo/tubes/Inter Cooler/Radiator Support/Radiator and be done with it or would I also have to change the injectors and make any changes to the Injection Pump?

I have a Diamond Eye 4" system with muffler for it. What should I set the I/P lift (timing) at for best towing?

Thanks
Art

And the thermostat housing and upper hose.

Just enough power to break everything behind the crankshaft.
