Injection Pump

Postby JimmyDUSMC35 » Sat Mar 29, 2014 6:11 am

hey guys, I have a 92 D350. I noticed that my injection pump was leaking, so I took it to a well respected local diesel shop. They rebuilt the pump, painted it and it looks great. They calibrated it, timed it, the whole nine yards. It runs like a champ, but it seems to idle a lot faster than it did when I dropped it off. Is there a chance that the idle was wrong when I had it ?

It could be. Do you have a tach? If you are worried you could check it, it should be about 800 rpms.

Just enough power to break everything behind the crankshaft.

There is a "pin" on top of the pump that has a registration mark on it with a spring around it. When you take it apart it has to go back to the same mark. It could have been set to a higher setting?
