Did you do anything to the pump at the same time?

Ok, cuz it sounds to me like... the indexing or fuel screw isn't in the right place. Meaning it isn't getting enough fuel.

What mark did you set your indexing to?

When I had the pump out I had everything locked so I don't really think any of the timing could have been changed I also had the front cover off to do a gasket and I never saw any timing marks I'm assuming that's what you mean by indexing?

Nope, he means the throttle shaft indexing on the pump it self, its what the gov spring connects to on the left side.
Diamond eye 4 inch turbo back, Glowshift boost, egt, oil pressure,hx35 , 3200 rpm spring, full power screw 2 turns, denny T II fuel pin, Home made Cold air intake, Alto reds and tci TC in a 518, 5x12's from diesel auto power.

Sometimes it does. When I did mine I had to move it one notch because it wouldn't start unless I had my foot on it. Some guys have to move it a notch the other way, because it starts at 1/2 throttle or so.
Just to be clear, we are talking about the throttle lever on the shaft that the gov spring attaches to underneath.
There is a great pic of the index marks here; viewtopic.php?f=1&t=15779

Just enough power to break everything behind the crankshaft.

Did you take the pump all the way out of the truck?

If you did take it out did you turn the engine over at all when you had the pump out?
