fuel pressure

I just noticed this today coming home from work. I didnt notice any change in the way the engine is running but the fuel pressure is just bouncing around. I checked all the lines and there doesnt seem to be any leaks anywhere. It almost seems like the rod from the lift pump is bouncing on its lobe. Has anyone ever had this happen. everything seems fine and the engine runs just as it has. i also just added 60# valve springs the other day but i doubt that should have anything to do with this.

Do you have a snubber or needle valve inline? I have a needle valve and I have to keep it almost closed or the gauge bounces so bad I can't read it.
Valve springs shouldn't make any difference.

Just enough power to break everything behind the crankshaft.

ALL lift pumps bounce. Mechanical ones bounce like crazy... I would almost guarantee you had air in the lines that finally worked its way out.

I've messed with all of the aftermarket stuff to get rid of bouncing... the only way I've been able to do it... use about 5 feet of fuel line curled up under the dash, and leave air in the lines. It'll be dead accurate and won't bounce a lick.
