I Like to wear my hat backwards when I weld. That way the mask fits, and it rules out the chance of spatter hitting my scalp. Any other time it's on properly

Typically forward or backward, less often side ways.

Hard to miss these a holes....they're the guys that a decade ago would have been driving a Honda Civic with a fart can muffler, but have now decided to migrate to diesel trucks like the plague moved through Europe. Flat black paint, neon green undercarriage parts, tow mirrors maxed out, wheels that look more at home on a pimp's caddy.... :puker:

Not to disrupt the flat bill wearing idiot talk but I have a dilemma. The 91 parts truck I bought to use the fenders from and part/junk the rest is in pretty fair shape body wise. Regular cab v6 4 speed with od 2wd short bed. Has a couple dings and dents. Small amounts of rust over the rear tires. Small bit of rust at the cab corners. To me it's a pretty clean 24 year old truck. The transmission is junk is the reason he sold it. Not sure what happened to it but claims a shaft is broken. It moves but not well. To finish all that up should I pull my parts and call it good or should I put a tranny in it and drive it/sell it?

I gave $800 for a running and driving cab donor with decent fenders and a decent bed. It was a 318 too. Unless you got it for next to nothing and you have a transmission on hand, I don't think selling it is the way to go.

If you have the patience, part it out. Parts are getting harder and harder to find.

Ive been looking at a few different sizes, including 255/85, 285/75, 305/70, and even 9.00r16. I have huge reservations about dropping almost a grand for new shoes. I can put together another beater neon for less than that. All i want is something like a 10ply 33 and not go broke. Ugh.

Jeff, Look at Cooper S/T MAXX 255/85's. I have seen sets of four go for less than $900 shipped on ebay, they don't last long at that price. Triple ply sidewalls, and ten ply rating. I know Andrew has had good luck with them in the past.

Thanks guys. I'll put an ad up in a bit with some pics.

On a different note I dropped off my air ride suspension to its new owner today. Now I can buy a new really expensive turbo. Thinking about buying a Harts 3x3 charger. They claim its a bolt on 100-200 hp. Guess we will see when we go to the dyno in a month or so. Hoping to get some video of it running on the dyno.

Does your class still have a PTO or is it an engine dyno? I've always wondered how they dyno the moderate power tractors.

A pto dyno is only good for a couple hundred hp. Our engine was over 1000 hp last year. We are hoping to be around 1300 this year with over 2000 lb ft of torque. This is an engine dyno capable of 6000 hp. It's brand new and was over 150k to purchase. I'm really excited to see ours run on it and see numbers.

I finally got the front end rebuilt and 370s installed. Hory Shet! I have a boost leak somewhere but I hit 37#s on the HE351 like yesterday and my pyro is a RPM gauge. 1st and most of 2nd from a standstill is useless. Stock auto is holding up strong. Just need to do the 3800 rpm spring.
