But I like the being able to go to bars, and buy liquor at 18. I've been buying the stuff for damn near 3 years, and yet I still can't there for another 2 months

Ok Ellis, looking at PSA's site, if I understand it, I buy a rifle kit, which is everything except the lower. Then I buy a blemish lower, or one of those 80% lowers that I finish, assemble and have a working gun? Didn't see any kits with the A2 site/handle, but there available elsewhere so its not a deal killer

Yeah you'll have to purchase a rear sight separate. That one on the new rifle is off of amazon and was dirt cheap.

And yeah.....if you buy one of those kinda lowers you'll be set. Those rifle kits have everything to make one functioning rifle except the lower receiver and rear site.

I have been looking at the polymer80 brand to do a pistol round shooting ar.

This is what I've been thinking about doing
http://discounttacticalsupply.com/polym ... 1-1-1.aspx
There are several polycarbonate receiver ar out there now and I don't think I could go wrong building one shooting pistol rounds.

Edit. Guess I could share this as well lol

So on a 4th gen note efi live is now in the public pre-release for 10+, so naturally I spent today playing with what I could. You Don't realize just how much time you've taken tuning until you have to do it all over again from scratch

Today is a sad day in the Northeast. :( The NETDP, New England Turbo Diesel Power web site is gone. It cost about $400 a year to run and the traffic on there has slowed so much they decided to not renew it. I'm bummed, I used to be on there as much as here. I just don't have enough time for everything any more. Oh well.

That's the way I felt when DieselCentral went away.

Sadly, forums in general are going away.

This last week has been too full. My wife's australian born 97 year old great grandmother passed today. We were visiting her at her house a month ago for Christmas. She was as spunky as ever. Heard about stories of seeing snow for the first time when she moved from Australia to Peoria, IL where she's lived for the last 70 years. Most exciting stories from this woman as she could tell a story. She was a mail-order bride. At least that was the joke. She responded to a Navy Lieutenant ad for a wife during WW2. She came over and it took 3 weeks. Normally 1 week by boat but "those Japanese piss pots [submarines] kept chasing us".

Everything is now going to Facebook.... where every time someone asks a completely open ended question and then you get 555,830,483,504,583,535,434,924 answers within 10 seconds of completely stupid answers that no one has any idea of what they are even giving a recommendation to.

No chit.

Like right now on 12v Only. Guy is claiming his 93 Club cab 5spd with twins and stock injectors on 33 or 35" tires averages 22mpg and hits 28-30 on the highway.

Those are all reasons I avoid Facebook. I like the effort to tame the language, and reduce the personal attacks

I wanted to avoid it, but crap.... that's where the sport is going. Even cummins forum has maybe 2-3 new posts a day in the 1st gen section.... flippin' ridiculous

The 3rd gen 5.9 section seems busiest to me. There's about 5 build threads on the front page, and lots of activity all the time. With efi out for 4th gens now there's a bit of activity, but it isn't so busy in performance. There will still be the die hards like us, but the damn kids these days are too lazy to sign up to a forum, and actually learn. Like I stumbled onto a pair of gold mine threads in the 2nd gen section where they got DEEP into afrs' and highly intelligent just everything, and the other was how to read a compressor map. Now those things actually make sense to me

Yes, the 3rd gen section is still busy.
