That's just what it goes for here. That land I bought has a market value of 6500 an acre now. If any of it was road frontage I'd have payed a lot more.
It's Mississippi, one of the lowest income states there is. You are either working poor or a welfare recipient

There is 58 acres next to my folks I'd love to have. Unless I win the lottery I won't ever be able to afford it.

Yup...money is the only reason I haven't made the leap....my cousin bought 80 acres and if he paid what they was asking it was 256k. Mainly crop/pasture with two draws for deer hunting.

Some amish idiots just bought 77 acres up here to the tune of 11,400/ac. That's nearly $900k

There I fixed it for you Pete.

If they were only $60. I know most of you would be driving one.

Thanks Philip! I thought the "k" was in there and didn't proof read after I posted it.

I keep thinking an Ecodiesel might be nice, 28mpg and a truck I can just drive without working on every other week. The other option I think of everytime I put fuel in this 10mpg FRT is sell it while the paint is fresh and buy a 10 year newer gasser dodge to drive. :?

10mpg Pete?!?! Pop the hood and make sure someone didn't swap in a 7.3L. That SUCKS for a 12v!

Them ecodiesels don't get 28 that I know of either. My old man has one and the best it's ever gotten is 25 on the freeway. Rural driving around his place is even less.

Why don't you pick up a vw tdi for work miles? Do you haul tools or something?

Speaking of vw tdi's...I looked at a couple at Speedway Motors. I didn't buy one as he was considerably overpriced for what he had. He did have an interesting 1st gen sitting there. 2wd under a 100k miles and not a speck of rust with an auto trans. Overpriced to I'm sure. :o

I'm going to look at a 2003 Jetta wagon 5spd tomorrow. wish me luck! :D

Do the auto trans heat exchangers located under the turbo have a specific direction of flow for both the coolant and the trans fluid?

Say your looking at one mounted in stock position, id think the coolant would flow front to back, same for the trans fluid, but there's no markings for direction, so maybe it doesn't matter.

I removed one, and using on another truck, but never paid notice to hose routing. My other trucks a stick, so its not helping

Suggestions, thanks

Matt H, the oil flows back to front, at least on my '97. Not sure what way the coolant flows, I haven't had to get into that mess yet.

Caleb, 10.2 on the last fill up. I have it cut with kerosene and there is warm up time involved, plus plowing, but the best ever in the summer was 16.4 mpg. I think the injectors are whipped. It barely starts at 15* not plugged in, run the grids twice, and it burps, pukes and smokes like a pig for a few minutes before it smoothes out.

Matt E, I plow a couple driveways with it, and can't see buying another car just to drive sometimes in the winter.

I guess a plow really kills it. I've been going 14-15 all winter.
