Glad to be on-board with like-minded S10 enthusiasts, gear heads and fanatics who are maniacal about these crazy little trucks. I currently have a 93 short bed 2WD V8 conversion under construction. The paint and body work is recently completed and finished in Cortez Silver with Black Yenko Stripes, 2" Cowl Hood, smooth tailgate and smooth roll pan. I built a 1st Gen SBC 350 (1975 casting) with 1968 Fuelie Heads and a LWP V-belt pulley system that is original to the motor. Because the heads do not have accessory bracket mounting holes, I need to utilize bolts/studs at the water pump, intake manifold and/or front header bolts to mount the alternator, power steering pump and the AC Compressor. Looking for info regarding the pros and cons of a serpentine conversion (from 4.3 V6 donor) vs. modifying or fabricating V-belt brackets. I welcome the advice or suggestions from anyone who has personally approached and resolved this issue without purchasing the expensive March Performance or Billet Specialties Serpentine Retrofit Kits. I want to emphasize that I am using the FUELIES and request that anyone who would suggest drilling and tapping or changing to Vortec heads please refrain as I'm looking for solutions using my current set-up.
