This is my conspericy, once sadia rabia and all those other contrys are out of oil, Usa and canada will be the only ones with oil, and we will be selling it back to them, its kind of funny, but diesel prices will keep on going up be cause Exon Moible needs to bet its 41 billion dallor 2007 proffit. and you know what kind of cut G. Bush and family is getting out of this war and stuff, (ops, i said that out loud)

4.10 a gallon here.... what kills me is that the bio diesel sthi is more expensive and when petro diesel goes up that bio diesel sthi goes up. and i remember when i thought 3$ a gallon was a total rip off.

Once the Burb is done, it is going to have 2 tanks. My old 30 gallon from the Dodge for diesel and the 30 gallon it came with for WVO, NOT bio. That way I never refined it so I dont have to pay taxes and I have the dino oil to prove I buy it

Somebody give me a good way to heat my filters and my Veggie system is complete...

But I'm too lazy to collect and process vegetable oil anyways. The de-emulsification process is the pain in the butt...

he is doing the same thing i intend on doing ....

building a second , heated fuel tank for wvo ( waste vegetable oil ) , as in the stuff restraunts have to pay to have it taken away .
you filter it down to 5 microns , and fill your heated fuel tank with it .

you start your truck on diesel , and once the oil gets hot enough , so it's around 150 f as it enters the ip , you switch over to veg oil .

bit of a pain to collect and filter the stuff , BUT every day as fuel prices climb higher , it makes it more worthwhile .

veg oil is also a better lubricant than diesel , so i'd be curious how long a 14mm pump head might last on veg oil .....

also the added heat from a 14mm pump head might be benificail to adding more heat to the oil before it hits the injectors .

alot of that vegi oil is super claped out and nasty. Are you guys talking VEGI oil or just like restaurant oil from frying stuff and everything? i kinda thought that would be a good idea at one time but most of the restaurant's could care less and it has to be taken away by some one certified to do it its easier for them to pay some one to come every week and take the stuff. thats how it is around here anyways. and around here a lot of places are starting to charge for their waste oil. I have a 7.3 idi i would run on straight WMO 10s of thousands of miles on that stuff would have to dilute it a little bit or it would get a gnarly lope. didnt smoke to bad just when idling.

I thought the 3.75 I paid last night was outragous. My wife's uncle is running waste oil. I drove his truck this past weekend when I was in Fla. He got the whole system in a kit form. (about $1500) It uses a Fass pump, an engine coolant heater for the bed mounted tank, 2 big filters, an electric valve to switch tanks (looks just like a ford dual tank valve), an electric in-line heater just before it enters the engine, and another heater that I can't remember. Hes got fuel level and fuel temp guages mounted on the column. The only thing I would do differently is set it up on a timer so that it wouldn't cut off on wvo. He has to remember to switch it back to #2 a min or so before cutting it off.
