I'm still alive and I still have to notify my partner that I'm Ford positive so she doesn't catch anything

I'm about to graduate from Purdue and next week I start a real job. I rolled 250k miles in the 7.3L and I'm still trying to talk myself out of a 12v swap.

Glad to see most of the regulars are still here.

You need to wise up and put a Cummins in that Ford. Glad to see you post again.

I've been in the final throws of my schooling. Two exams down, two big ones left, then I'm done til August, and then once I'm done that I'll be a full journeyman heavy equipment technician, and will be able to put RSE as a suffix on my name.

I'll be doing my best to have The Roo Hunter in good working order, so I can put jaeger on parking insurance, and take The Roo Hunter for school which will save me some coin on insurance.

I'm putting an engine from a 93 into my 91.5. Anyone know of any differences that will cause me grief when I start hooking things up? The only thing I know of that is different is the 93 had a CPS and 91.5 does not.

Anybody ever mess with a Gun Pole setup, or build one?
Need a way to lift heavy items around the house. Sold the skid steer I had, now I'm trying.to move logs, engines, welders/generators, etc off road and laying down plywood for my engine hoist has gotten old.

One idea I had was to weld a plate into the rear of the frame, similar to what you see on landscape trucks, weld up a pivot point, and hang my poles, and build a headache rack of some kind for my tie back cables.

The other idea I had was a steel plate that uses the bed mounting bolts, clevis points at the front, pivot points at the back for the poles, and mount a 12v winch up front.

I like the second idea, cause I could feasibly swap it between trucks, since the plow truck is a 92 W250 and the dually is a 93. I'm just worried that it wouldn't be heavy enough to pick up say 2000# off the hook. I understand that the pole angles greatly effect the lifting capacity, as well as the pole construction themselves.

So far my poles are 12' long, 2x2 square tubing, 3/16" thick wall

Any thoughts, I know some of you are pretty ingenious with stuff like this

Aren't the compressor brackets different? Only thing I can think of.....but that'll be changed anyhow

AC compressor? I don't know but I should be able to just swap brackets if that's the case right? Or is the comp different too?

There were 2 different comps used. Earlier trucks used a C171 compressor, later model used the more common Sanden SD709.
Unsure of the change, I believe it was when they went to intercooler the compressors changed, but not 100%. I believe the fitting are different, as well as the elec plug, again, not 100%,

I saved $100 in one month having parking insurance on my 93. Then another $65 a month when my policy renewed. I have to have full coverage on my 4th gen since I financed it, so being able to have that one on parking insurance will save a bunch.

On another note I am now done 3rd year. Wrote my interprovincial this morning, and watched a 1st year automotive apprentice really obviously cheat off the guy behind him, but that's his problem. Tomorrow I'm going to go home hauling a trailer my sister, and her boyfriend bought for $800. It's funny that it barely squats my suspension.

Thanks Pete. I don't know what you mean about the picture though. It's showing up for me.
