Aaayy, gringo!

What I usually do is grab the head of the pin with channel locks, and yank it right out. Then I look in a mirror thru the hole and watch for the depression in the cam gear. Waaayyy easier I think. Then you just push it in a little ways, after lubing the o-ring.
I usually put a socket on the balancer bolts and turn it that way, gently. If it starts to turn hard, wait a minute for compression to bleed off. I could bring the barring tool home from work, but I never remember.
I appreciate the beer offer. I have a bunch of them so far. Some day I'm gonna collect, drive cross country and get drunk all the way! Might take me a month or 2.
