HX35 - 21cm2 to 12cm2 wastegated housing

Postby Brutus_Marcus » Mon May 19, 2008 10:11 pm

Hi,
Am wondering if its possible to change the exhaust housing from 21cm2 to 12cm2 wastegated housing (from the 210Hp motor)on the Holset. I basically need a little more low end and dont plan to touch the pump settings as of now. Buying a new Turbo off the block would be pretty expensive and i really dont want to spent that much.
What all would i have to change, if its even possible?
And do i have to change the impeller too?
Sorry for all the Newbee questions....
Regards,
Bikram

The housings will interchange as far as the turbo is concerned. No wheel changes needed. Your exhaust system will need to be moved back around 1.25". If that isn't possible then the downpipe will need to be shortened that much.

You sure don't see too many of those around. Is it a 4bt or a 6bt Cummins?
