OEM Head Bolt

Postby dvst8r » Sun May 25, 2008 11:11 am

I have a friend who is looking to use some head bolts for another project, (some miniature bridge thing) When I was swapping out my bolts for my studs, he commented that they looked almost the right size, but we never measured them. Unfortunately when I was done my stud install i tossed them out. So if anyone has a set or even just one kicking around and can grab me a couple measurements, it would be greatly appreciated.

-Length of shaft (so just under the head to the tip)
-Overall length
-Thread Pitch (I know they are 12mm X ???)

Thanks.

I got a few. I had a couple that just would NOT torque down after the head gasket, so I just replaced all of them. I'd like to keep a few extras for down the road, but I'll sell your buddy the rest. PM for details, or to make an offer.

I will post up the measurements in the morning, I talked to a buddy at my local parts store, had him order in a set, and then measured them. ;) He didn't have any problem with it, so good enough

Ok, I forgot the thread pitch gauge at home  , but it wont matter as the long ones are about 1/2" too short for what he needs, Regardless for future ref here are the length's:

L - 8"
M - 5 3/4"
S - 4 3/8"
