Oil Pressure???

Postby hassy21 » Sat Jul 05, 2008 1:30 pm

On start up my oil pressure is perfect and it is idled up where I want it but when it gets around 180-190 degrees and I come to a stop my oil pressure just drops and then when I get back on it th oild pressure rises again. Just wondering if there is something wrong with the sending unit with the gauge or what?
Thanks

The sending units are known to be crappy. Plumb in a mechanical guage to check it, or just replace the sender.

Just enough power to break everything behind the crankshaft.

Good Pumps

The oil pumps on these engines are robust enough to keep good pressure at rpm even after the engine is badly worn.
