i can get 95 mph in 4th the let off after shifting into 5th. speed in excess of 100 is a mandatory 5 day jail stay in the parish i live in. no excuses, don't pass go, no 200.00, just 5 days in the tank.

all of this will be mute here shortly as i hear they're considering dropping interstate speeds back to 55 mph to save fuel. talk about add on to your road trips..

I think mandatory speed limits to save fuel are complete. total. unadulterated, BS. If I want to save fuel, let that be MY choice. If I want to get there 20% faster, and spend more money, then let me. There is no shortage of oil, just too much red tape in the way of our getting to it. To save fuel, some vehicles do better at 65-70 than at lower speeds. My mom picks up almost 2mpg by going 70 vs 55.

Same here. Pyro is at 1300 and climbing. But so is the speedo......
