How much of a difference is a 6bt intercooler compared to a 4bt intercooler?

If you are talking about an air-to-air cooler, it is application specific- you could run a KW CAC if you have room up front. If its water-to-air, the 4B's would be a little shorter, due to having a shorter intake plate on top of the 4B.

I would imagine that an intercooler designed for a 4bt would be too small to adequately cool a 6bt. Not having seen what comes on a 4bt equipped vehicle , it's vary hard to say.
