I'm sure that this has already been answered before so sorry for bringning it back up again. I need to buy one, so does anybody have a link to a site to buy all the materials? Thanks.

Are those "rubber hoses" that they sell good quality? Or are they just plain old rubber?

You really want to avoid the rubber and use silicone tube, right?

On the suction side it doesn't matter so much. No pressure, and the suction isn't much on a 4 or 5" hose.
Unless the filter is plugged. ;)

Doesn't rubber crack within a year and get degraded when it comes into contact with oil and grease?

Does anybody use it on their trucks? I was under the impression that I only ever saw silicone, that's all.

Fix the oil leaks. ;)
The original is rubber, mine is still good, but the black comes off on my hands now, so it's starting to go.
