truck won't start!!!

Postby T.winegar » Sun Sep 07, 2008 6:15 pm

help me please, i don't know what to do. i broke my fulcrum lever on my injection pump when i was installing the 366 spring. we pulled the pump and sent it to be fixed. rebuilt and everything- runs like a top. great pump. we put it back on the truck and hooked everything up and it won't start for nothing. we have bled each injector as well as the pump to make sure there is fuel there. there seems to be fuel out of every line. i'm out of ideas. what else can i do? the timing was fine and everything looks good. what is wrong!?!?!

any help is gratefully accepted!!!

Did you try to hold the throttle a little while starting? The lever may be indexed wrong.
My 2nd guess would be the shut off solenoid. Does it have power? Can you hear it click? If you're not sure, pull the spring and plunger and try it again.
Good Luck! ;-)

Just enough power to break everything behind the crankshaft.

Idon't know if you still have the problem but if you need it i got the factory repair manual for the truck. There are a couple things to check. So let me know i'll scan it and send it to you. Good luck...
