93/85 drw crewcab

getrag and 3.55s and gear vendor.

done right with complete wiring harness and everything from the 93 switched over. dash and all. the rear end from 93. quite a work of art.

new paint, int perfect. seats like new.

gooseneck and 5th wheel hitchs. guages put in when conversion took place. le package and all the goodies work perfect, cold air.

this truck had a virgin pump till a couple weeks ago and is mildly upgraded to 618 rwtq

a rare find. went right up to the factory and picked it up

took several months of work for this truck to come to life in this configuration. he wanted to do it right.

harold wanted to do a cummins conversion project. completed this one, took it to may madness and entered it into the show and shine where it took 2nd place. it is also in the newest tdr issue #61.


this summer he let me take it off his hands as he knew i wanted it bad. it is an awesome ride and gets admiring looks wherever it goes.

do you know what frame that was used for the conversion I am getting ready to do the same thing but the crew cab frame is shorter then my cummins and can't make up my mind to strech the tall one or just use the shorter crew cab frame

it has the 85 crewcab dually LWB D-350 frame. i have it and the 93 D-350 donor clubcab dually here and tommorrow i'll measure the height to compare

i grabbed the tape measure and whipped it out. i have 8 inches..........


i mean,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, the 93 clubcab d350 dually has an 8 inch tall frame as does the 85 D350 crewcab dually frame. both 2wd

my 4wd W350 4wd srw 91 gasser had 6 in frame. the w350 srw cummins in 91 had the 8 inch. w 250 had the 6 inch. 91.5 if my memory is wrong both w and d 250s also had 8 inch with the mighty cummins.

your swb crew must be 6 in tall cuz of it a swb or srw and a 250

Crewcab ITD dinner meet








Here is the rear seat. The spot ya see is some spray foam which can be removed with a brush. The headliner is double walled steel. There is air space tween the 2 layers. For sound deadening and insulation Harold drilled 2 pin holes, one on each side and filled the space with spray foam from aerosol cans. Helps w/ sound deadening and temp insulation. I like this headliner much better than the cloth headliner which can show it’s age over time and sag.



Here is the overhead shelf console and the gauges are up top. The autometer pyro, boost, and trans temp. a 3 way switch lets the temp guage monitor trans, gearvendor, and rear end temp. this pic it is hard to see but visibility is great from the drivers seat. The shelf up top is handy too. Made of metal.

Here is the mighty Cummins. This inj pump was a virgin it’s whole life till a few weeks ago. 618 rwtq with mild mods including 3k gsk.



Here is a pic of the turbo. It is modded to a wh1c12. 12cm WG of a 2nd gen lets a 2nd gen downpipe be used. It goes to 4 inch exhaust thru a hi-flow muff to the tailpipe.

Take note of the ats exhaust manifold. New, just installed late may.

I haven’t put too many miles on this rig as I haven’t had it too long but mpg is awesome @ 20 to 24mpg range.

This is the switch for the gearvendors auxiliary transmission.

Dash. Apparently it has had a cover on it. I keep it covered now and in a shed and I believe this truck was garaged. The top panels were from the crewcab and the instrument section from the cummins donor. The dash is perfect as you can see.
