I've ran my 8x11 with my STG IV and let out at 57psi and climbing and 2000 degrees

It was still extremly smoky

The K31 cleans em up though

What size exhaust housing are you running? I'm hoping my 18cm housing will be laggy enough not to grenade the turbo. Also I'll only be spinning up to like 3000rpm, so I think that might help as well. Most turbos I've seen pop have done so at higher rpms. I do have a 38mm wastegate I stole from the guys at J&H Performance. I might put that on before I hit the dyno again.

I'm runnin a 16cm

Dang them are some high boost/egt numbers. Nice combo :D Thanks for spinning the upgraded turbo up to 55psi also, that way I'll have some hope that mine will live.

JQmile

The sound you here in your TQ or the general area could be a ballooned converter. It will show itself on the dyno if thats what it is. Keep an eye on your TQ graph. If it climbs to s certain point and looks like it going up and down like the stock market you may have internal leaking.

I pulled a 320HP/710TQ #2 only on a mustang dyno with an automatic a couple weeks ago.

My pump is only tuned up 3/4 turn from stock with a DDP fuel pin and 3200GOV spring.

Bump......

Adding 6x16's, a lift pump (carter electric) and water/meth. Hopefully will be back hittin the dyno in the next few weeks.....

After that will be a 14mm h/r, fuel pressure gauge, and wastegate, then I think I'm about done.

OK, engine wise you may be done but what are you going to do for traction. I was hoping you would do some research on traction aids for the mysterious  3.07 dana 70. Please :bounce:

Sweet! Another great article! You inspired me to do a little monkeying around. I just did a compressor upgrade myself! Combined the H1C exhaust and center section with the marine H1E compressor. SWEET!

The next thing I have to to do is make a new intake crossover pipe. I think you should look at doing the same JQ. 2 1/2" to 2" is quite the restriction.

But keep up the great work!

I run those in the 8.75 Chrysler rears for my 340 Duster and like them alot. But I wouldn't run them in a primarily street-driven car.

I checked out that link, they list 3 different models. 35 spl, 1 pc carrier, $358, a 32 spl, 1 pc carrier, $358, and a 35 spl, 2 pc carrier, $323. Are you going to go with one of these on rust bucket. I sure hope so and soon. Price is reasonable, I guess, if they hold up. I'd be willing to try one if I new for sure it would work in the 3.07 carrier. I'll let you try it first. ;)

Wow that seems like a pretty cool piece. Definitely something worth looking into... Just did.

This is a pretty thorough article. Be sure to look at the UPDATE on the first page.

Not Abandoned!! No way, man.

I'm moving (not our magazine, but me personally) so that is slowing things down, plus went up North for Christmas, etc. Look for a 1 year recap to be coming soon, and check out the 1st gen performance article in this month's issue.
