Maybe Im just paranoid but I dont want my truck getting to 1200 before the turbo ever. With that in mind what is a good turbo to replace the stock turbo?I dont want to do anything insane to my truck.Just the 366 spring, some minor pump tweaks, and a 4" exhaust and CAI.

BTW with the 366 spring does that mean that I have a higher cruising speed?Stock with the non OD auto is 65-75 mph.

i would go with the 62/65/14 s300. i have a 62/71/14 on my auto truck. i love it . it takes it just a little bit longer to spool it, but when it starts to build boost, it builds it very fast. with the little mods i have done, towing a large trailer with a car on it, egt's where sitting about 1175 under a hard pull. they could probably be a little lower if i get a larger air filter, my filter now dose not flow enough air. hope all this might help ya.

I wouldn't worry about changing the turbo with those mods. Even towing heavy, I don't think you'll get very hot. I towed my dad's truck home through central Oregon and with a GCW of 16k, it never went over 1050. That was before the fuel mods, but that still leaves you with some headroom to your max. temp.

The 366 spring raises the rpm that the pump starts to defuel at (3000 rpm vs 2500 rpm stock) so you will have a higher top speed.

Well, that's probably a good reason to do it then. :D For mild fuel increases and mods, the HX35 should work all right.

Redneck- Banks says you can run the truck all day long at 1300deg pre turbo, and they arent known for pushing the envelope. I have run 1200deg long term towing, and have done just fine.

It is good you have a goal of keeping your EGTs down, though. Help your engine last longer.
