VW injection pump/governor

Postby bgilbert » Thu Jan 01, 2009 10:49 am

What year range do I need for one of these Bosch VW pumps with the min/max governor spring? I'm gonna put a want ad on a local website and need to know what to ask for. I'm sure there's someone with a broken down VW diesel car or truck laying out back around this area. Thanks!

i suspect any vw diesel pump would work .....

my experience is with the 1985 to 1992 vw turbo diesel .

they had 2 diesel engines betwen 85-92 and naturally aspirated and a turbo , 1.6 litre diesel

if you where to put up a add , just say something like this , wanted , injection pump for a '85 to '92 vw turbo diesel .
'93 w250 .... stock ...
curently removing the dead moose parts ....

Out of curiousity, what did you want it for?

The VW governor spring parts will allow full fueling past 4000rpm. There is another thread on here that seeker1056 started about this. They are trying to figure out a way to keep the VE fueling far enough to be competitive in sled pulling.
