4BT?

Postby Redneckintraining » Mon Jan 19, 2009 9:13 pm

How well does a 4BT work as far as towing?Im just kinda wondering if it was tuned up a bit how it would work.Especially because my 6BT might be dieing...

I don't tow alot, mostly a car or small pickup on a car trailer. And not very often. But enough to be concerned about it.

We have a 97 150 2wd with a 4bt in it with 3.55 gears and a 5 speed whe have towed with it once. We towed a 16ft land scaping trailer with a 52 f100 on it, it did ok (completely stock 4bt) it wasn't going to set any land speed records or lead the pack. For towing I would stick with the 6bt.

If you are only going to be towing a car or pickup, I think a 4bt would be more than capable.
