HELLO, I'M NEW TO THIS FORUM. I'M HAVING A BIG PROBLEM WITH A 1993 INTERCOOLED MOTOR AND AUTOTRANS NOT STARTING IN A 1981 AIRSTREAM MOTORHOME. I BOUGHT THE DRIVETRAIN FROM SOMEONE THAT SAID IT HAD BEEN RUNNING AT TIME OF REMOVAL FROM IT'S LAST HOME. THE COMPRESSION IS O.K. AND HAS A NEW HEAD, SEALS AND GASKETS ALONG WITH NEW FILTERS. TWO OF THE METAL HIGH PRESSURE FUEL INJECTOR LINES WERE MOSTLY TO COMPLETLY PLUGGED. I REPLACED ALL WITH A NEW USED SET FROM EBAY. I HAVE REPLACED THE INJECTORS WITH NEW STAGE 1 INJECTORS. I HAVE CHECKED THE PUMP TIMING AND IT IS DEAD ON. I AM USING NEW FUEL OUT OF A FUEL CAN. ROUTING FUEL TO LEFT PUMP, PUMP TO FILTER, BANJO FITTING AT HEAD FROM PUMP I'M USING A PRESSURE GAUGE WITH FUEL GOING TO IP IN CLEAR HOSE. RETURN LINE AT BACK OF HEAD IS CLEAR HOSE GOING BACK TO FUEL CAN. FUEL PRESSURE AT GAUGE WHEN CRANKING IS 6 PSI BUT WHEN I STOP CRANKING IT GOES RIGHT BACK TO (0) LIKE A STONE. WHEN BLEEDING THE FUEL PRESSURE SEEMS LOW AND IS FAOMY AT THE INJECTORS. IF I HOOK UP A GAUGE AT THE INJECTOR WHAT TYPE OF CRANKING PRESSURE ARE WE LOOKING AT? I CHECKED THE SHUT OFF AND KSB SOLENOID, THE'RE CLICKING BUT THE KSB SEEMS ALITTLE FLAKEY. THE FEED FUEL LINE DOES NOT HAVE ANY AIR IN IT AND THE RETURN DOES. I'M THINKING THE INJECTION PUMP IS OUT AND I AM LOOKING FOR OTHER IDEAS. THE ENGINE HAD BEEN SETTING AROUND FOR 1.5 TO 2 YEARS. IT MAY BE SOME FUN, THE CUMMINS, INSTEAD OF THE 454 IF I CAN GET IT RUNNING.
