Engine stumbles when revved quickly

Postby cedardiesel » Wed Feb 25, 2009 8:04 pm

Well replaced lift pump and thought if might fix problem and still when revved if like misses in the low to mid range and once revved in to upper range it is ok. But at cruisin speeds it sounds like it is runnin off all injectors then it will sound like it is runnin off like 3 or 4 and also it feels like it has lost lots of power. Does this mean my injector pump gettin ready to say goodbye?

bump your timing up. i just had the same problem you had and the timing was 1/16th" below the stock timing mark. i bumped it 1/8th" above the stock settign and now she revs when ever you want her to. and it makes starting when shes cold better and i picked up a few mpgs. sounds a little diffrent at idle but runs alot better

Well thanks for the tip but done been sucked into the P-Pump hole and converting it over to that but I believe the pump is sucking air cause I bled the lines and all and it run good for bout 2 miles and it started the same problem again
