IP fuel inlet

Postby Remps » Tue May 12, 2009 1:19 pm

I am wondering how far I have to break my pump down to drill out the tiny fuel inlet to about 3/8?The pump I have was built to 250 cc/stroke,and I don't want it to starve for fuel, especially when it eventually gets a 14 mm H@R.I just don't see how enough volume could get in at 15 psi thru the factory orfice to keep up,and I do not want to add more pressure.Any tips or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

no there isnt much of a solution, exept to fix the front seal, and run the higher pressure

What pumps are guys using to dual feed the IP through the bypass return?

I am using a raptor 150 pump set at 14 PSI. I have a fitting I made that supplies fuel through the inlet on the manifold.

Also have a check valve in the electric fuel pump system in case it stops working.

Sweet! I take it you are still using the stock fuel filter?

Guys
I might be out on the left feild about this but, case pressure is regulated by the internal vain pump. This pump at idle rasies the case pressure to approz. 75psi. Not many electric pumps can pump that, and anything less trying to get pumped won't go.
So dual feed into the case is a waste of time!
With a big electric pump flowin through a moded stock intake port will flow more then enough fuel, even for a fully biult ip.

You might consider slipping a small sheet of plastic or leather in between that hydraulic brake line and that brass assembly. I'd be scared that a hole might get "worried" into the brake line. Or just mount it somewhere else.

Keep an eye on that soft copper tubing. It's gonna fracture.

Wasn't somebody dual feeding through the case return line?

Still seems to me like a good gear-to-gear pump could bypass the vane pump and any lift pumps all at once.

Ya somthing like that night be possible but it would have to be regulated some how

800rpm - 75psi
2000rpm - 125psi
