Lets have a conversation about injectiors. I have talked to alot of people and everyone tells me pod's are the way to go. But i want more then that. Im thinking about a 6 x 20 or a set of 6x 24 injectiors. My question is can my stock liftpump supply enough fuel for these big sticks. The twins that i put on the truck will clear the fuel up trust me. So what is the biggest injectiors this Ip can handle. And if i need to upgrade the lift pump what kind should i replace it with.

No a stock lift pump can barely hold up to pump tweaks, so it definitely won't hold up to injectors that big.

Don't quote me on this, but I believe Brian Block has done a lot of tuning with injectors. He found that with twins, 6X.018's are the best choice, anything over that and he lost power, and with a single 6X.016's were the best choice.

As for the lift pump, you are going to have to look into an electric setup, I know a piston lift pump won't support that much furl.

unless ur going to put big set of twins on, fully biuld the motor and the rest of truck, and put a huge nitrous system on 6x24 will be way to big, for 95% of the people 6x16 is big enough.

My turbo that i had in mind for this combo is a hx40 on top and something = to a Industrail injections 71mm charger for the bottom. This thing is going to have a crap load of air going to it. So im just wondering unstead of going with a 6x18 Which i beilve i will have way to much air for. I think i need to go bigger. What do yall think. I dont wanna throw money away. I guess at times like this its just time to play huh?

I would try 6X.018's first, and if you aren't satisfied go bigger. I haven't heard anyone over 500rwhp using anything bigger than 6X.18's.

You're gonna need a fully built IP to even make those injectors work right.Fire ring the head/block,head studs, ditch the 40,put the 71mm on top and maybe a GT4708 on the bottom. Then give it a progressive 300 shot for starters, with a 600 hp nos system. It should make a couple of runs before she blows, lol.Just a guess, but I don't think those injectors would be anywhere near streetable. If you could feed it enough nos to make it run clean at WOT I bet it'd make a good number on a dyno!Just my .02. :D

We don't care about power with nitrous. Power is supposed to be made on fuel only. That's all I care about at least.

I kinda think you would need nos with those injectors. And who's we,ya got a mouse in yer pocket?lol.I'm all about all throttle no bottle too,but if you wanted to run 6x24 injectors,I'm pretty sure you'd need the drugs.

FWIW i was talkin with adam cornell from CMPD and his white ford with the cummins in it only has 5x.018's and he made 1300+ HP. now before anyone says anything yes that was with nos but on fuel only he still made 700+ i believe. he told me its all about the pump work. everyone thinks you need huge injectors. just my .02 though

When our injection pumps produce half the injection pressure as other injection pumps, a bigger nozzle doesn't flow as much total fuel.
