I was wrong it doesn't look like you are overfueled or over timed. Once it spools it cleans the fuel up so you are burning it, you just don't have any for some reason?? If you watch one of my dyno vids you can see how hard it hits and pulls through the power band. Yours acts like it is governing about the same time as it gets spooled. What sort of gov mods do you have? Have you checked your throttle linkages? What kind of TC do you have? Maybe you just blow through it so you can't put any power down.

Being a puller, most of the trucks that I see putting down lower-than-expected numbers are fueling so hard down low that they put out the fire and never really get on top of the turbo. Thats why I dyno my junk on a load dyno, because acceleration dynos suck for pulling trucks. But, that is definatly not the case here.

I think KTA is spot-on, that truck is defueling as soon as the turbo's light. The turbos definatly lit strong, you just don't have the fuel up top. Do you have the sheets? They should help analize it.

Seems to me its running like every other VE truck I've played with, fuels hard down low with no balls up top. If you don't mind sharing, what is your pump setup? Especially the governer and your fuel supply...

Another thought, won't a non-lockup converter give you lower readings anyways?

IMO trying to make big hp numbers with a nonlockup tranny is a big waste of time. In a diesel truck that is. Time for the getrag CK.

I bet its a hoot on the street though. I love a big power auto... just not for sledpulling.

it is my experience with tryin to run a large cam plate and the 14mm head that you drop down to like 250 or so cc's around 2900 rpm and it doesnt get any better all the way to 4000 rpm

with big injectors, and a fully seated fuel screw he probably ran outa fuel

when the load hit.

On the street with no load its easy to get boost and keep things lit

time will tell if you need a lockup to make decent power although i do agree An auto wont show as good a numbers as a stick, if the trans is built right with a tight convertor, you can still make decent numbers.

I'll have to dissagree with the pullin end of things as our truck worked exceptionally well last year in Pro Street - the motor never laid down and we were quite competitive

Torque converter.

How much power did you make? Did I miss that somewhere?

275rwhp and 700ft/lb torque.

I remember something about having his tranny built by suncoast?

That sucks.

Did the dyno not load it down or the transmission not load it down? I'm guessing that the power that it did make was at the high end of the RPM scale?

Does the thing always drive like a snowmobile?

I belive the power is getting to the ground the TC is tight, it's Georends part. The peak power was at 2075rpm.
I find it hard to belive that the tranny would acount for 60% of lost power (at motor)
So I'm not really sure what to do from here.

A basic run down of my pump

14 mm h&r
4 mm cam plate
Non ic injected lines, and DVs
Solid rolers hd spring kit
Ported intake and vain pump
KSB removed
Budha power 6x18 injectors, I'm wonder if this has anything to do with my problem?
1/2inch feed, fuel cooler
I run 25psi
Custom seal retainer

But like I said I'm not sure were to go from here, just through ideas out there and I'll try them

If you were going through the converter I would think that max power would be well above 2000 RPM.

Were other trucks putting down big numbers on that dyno?

You have 1/4 mile times, right?

If your boost is down so far on the dyno it's gotta be the dyno...
