Jammer BB Turbo?

Postby Oddfire » Sun Apr 12, 2009 12:13 pm

How would a Jammer BB for a 2003 to 2005 cummins work on our VE motors? ;)

They still make those? Who?Where? How much?I haven't heard a thing about them, but I think they're good for over 400 RWHP.Pretty sure it'd be a decent turbo for a turned up 1st gen with injectors.

I have a good buddy that bought a new one from GDS for like $600, He has a 89 w/ banks intercooler mild pump mods. He uses the truck to tow with ALOT. He says he loves it. Spools good and runs cool.

For some reason I want to say its based off teh baby S300, something like 58/65/14 or something. Dont hold me to that. The buddy I was talking about just got back driving from Alaska here to Virginia, 4,200 miles. The truck and trailer combo weighed out at right around 21,000 lbs. He said it pulled VERY well and that turbo lag was almost non-exsistent, he has a NV4500 in the truck. And while he does not have alot of fueling mods he never got over 1,100* even on teh big passes.

I thought the Edge jammer was based on some Garret turbo? I know someone was doing R&D several years ago (on a BB turbo), and asked if I wanted to try one, but I had NO money at the time (I could have gotten it for the shop's cost). not a lot different from now......

EDIT: Yep I found this

Edge BB Jammer turbo is a Turbonetics

Turbine housing is .84 A/R (16cm) with 4" V-Band
Its non-wastegated.
Mass flow of around 60 lbs/min, with a peak pressure ratio of 3.8
