Pinion yoke came loose on dana 70(UPDATE)

Postby RV2 » Thu Apr 23, 2009 7:04 pm

My pinion yoke loosened up on my dana 70 today, what am I looking at here as far as damage and repairs?
Can I install a new seal and retighten the yoke?

Replace the nut and install a new seal. If you didn't drive it much I dought if you did any damage.

Mine did that too, but I had to replace the yoke as well. It was loose on the splines.

Randy I have seen your truck. Do you realy think someone is going to jump out and help push a 12k truck to the side of the road.

Very few people carry a chain or tow strap anymore.
