When replacing this will i be able to start the truck right away or do i need to prime the pump? Do i need to Bleed the system through an injector line?

I always have a can of diesel laying around for onr reason or another so I just fill the filter with some and screw it back on and start it. But all you have to do is open the bleader screw on the fuel line going into the top of the filter housing and pump the primer on the lift pump till fuel come out then its ready to go.

thanks for the input. ended up just changing it out and starting it. started right up then started idling low. touched the throttle and it then dropped to like 2 cylinders for about 5 seconds then came around back to normal. Kinda funny how a man can grow in knowledge about a new truck. When i first got it i thought it would be hell gettin to that filter so i put it off. woke up this morning and just sleep walked out to my truck and did it in about 10 min. ha ha

I fill my filter with Marvel Mystery oil and Power Service, then bleed at the bleeder. It gives your pump and injectors a little clean and lube on start.
