VE pump leak - primer rubber cap gone

Postby PapeCAT » Fri Aug 14, 2009 8:29 pm

So I have a leak off the back of my VE and I don't want to do a full reseal with the kit, but I guess I could , I have the reseal kit...

I just wanted to replace the seal that was leaking, but I couldn't Isolate the leak, one thing I did notice is that the rubber cap is missing off the rear of the pump , the primer button. Could it be leaking from there?

Thanks

got the pump coming apart. WE'll see how this goes.... ve seal kit bleh... Just hoping if it all goes to you-know-what in a handbag I can at least limp it back together to use as a core and still have the privilege to pay 1000 dollars for a reman...

Well that ,was not fun but I was able to replace the rear main o ring, front main seal, throttle shaft seal and pump top seal... Oh yeah and all the DV seals. That was all I really wanted to get into at this point. I'm crossing my fingers I got it all back together right and that I didn't FOD it out...

We'll see.

Progress continues on teh crew...
