ive learned a little more about turbos now! i hear the 12cm exhaust housing can ride a little hot while towing. do i need to look for a turbo with a 14 or 16cm housing? will an upgraded turbo wiith a largewr housing still spool quicker than the stock turbo and still keep it cool?

$350 is to much. But, for a little less the HX35W is a fun little charger for a truck with mild mods. 8) I loved mine, but never had temp problems because my factory lp cant keep up with my injectors. :;-|:

hx-35 is a pretty good turbo for $200-$250. 12 cm is a great housing for towing or whatever, overspooling the turbo out of its efficiency map is what raises egts. hx 35 has a mwe slot wich helps too. keep boost in 30-35 psi its great.

If you had a Non I/C truck, an HX35 would be an okay upgrade, but since your I/C H1C is just about as big as an HX35, I would pass an HX35 up, unless you found a screamin' deal on one, or for some reason your H1C needs to be replaced.

The 12cm housing is perfectly fine for towing. They came stock on 2nd Gen trucks, so they won't get too hot (with reasonable fueling :D )
