Upgrade

No it's not a major upgrade but in a way it is. You have a solid foundation for power building AND you have the security of adequate cooling and lubrication to your VE now. Makes me feel better knowing that anyway.

so I permanantly installed a fuel pressure gauge in my truck this weekend and driving down the road the pressure going to the pump varies from 12 at idle to 20 regualr driving and spikes to almost 26 when i really put the hammer down and let off real quick never goes above 20 UNTILL I let off the pedal, like the pump cuts off fueling and the case pressure spikes ....maybe..??... i rigged the gauge with a 1/8 pipe thread fitting going to 1/8th inch air tubing all the way to the gauge ...i even blead the line up to the gauge ZSkibo Have u put a gauge on your system? i would think my pressures would be more steady with 30 psi coming from the truck and 15 coming from the regulator....any ideas?

Piston pump output goes up with engine rpm. Pressure at the output may vary with load throughout the rpm range, depending on supply restriction which you obviously have. You are probably going to blow the VE front seal after you let off at high rpm one of these days.

supply restriction? i was thinking that the regulator would suck up all the highs that the piston pump puts out i dont see why im getting a 25psi spike out of the outlet of the regulator when i have it set at 15 psi at idle im thinking i should mount my gauge closer to the pump after the filter the spike only happens for a split second im starting to wonder if the pressure is isolated between the regulator and the filter (currently my gauge is located right on the regulator) but im kind of at a loss, Ace I agree that im gona blow the seal out if i dont get it in check...anybody think that if i put the gauge closer to the pump ill get a different reading ?
