That's the first I've heard that the 3200 spring would cause problems. In fact, I've modified my 3200 spring (clipped a few loops out) and have full fueling to 3600rpm.

And while I have the utmost in respect for the good folks at Schied, I don't know that they spend a lot of R&D on the little VEs. :?

That sounds like horse S@#% to me. I think the 3200 spring is one of the best $16.95 I've spent on my truck. I've had it in for six months or more with no problems, just a better running engine

The only problem I had with mine is my fuel mileage went way down. I'm not positive, but I think it's because it's more fun to drive with my foot in it. ;)

My EGT's and some of the smoke actually decreased when I put mine in but it is actually a little faster then it was. My fuel mileage is awesome too if i keep my foot out of it

I don't know the benfits or drawbacks of the spring upgrade, but I have played with the full power screw and the fuel pin and starwheel adjustment in the past.
All were a bit of improvement, but the governor spring and a tighter turbo housing are purported to be the best gains, if done within reason.
A reasonable bump of pump timing supposedly doesn't hurt, either.

Mark.

man sumbuddy be jerkin yur chain

Even at 46-4700 rpm there were no unbalance issues in my pump

The 3200 rpm spring is the best bang for the buck out there

You should be able to get it at any Bosch authorized fuel shop.

And please quit using all capitals, it hurts. ;)
