im looking to clean up my engine bay a bit, nothin too fancy, possibly chrome, paint.. so on, and for cheap! (im part dutch :lol: ) when i paint the body I plan on painting the boost hoses and rocker covers, any other ideas? pictures?

I thought the valve covers were aluminum and can be polished.
1989 W250 727, 3.07 L/S, S300, P/S Intercooler, Stans exaust, Pump adjustments, 127k miles,297 hp

I like orange engines i guess that stems from my chevy days but i will use race hemi orange on mine when i clean it up, and you can polish the intercooler tub clamps like chrome that looks good to. ;)

the new 6.7's in some of our new besses are painter blood red, that looks really nice but nothing is better than just clean cummins beige

The red color is called Cummins ISX Red, and I like it too!

For the valve covers, just strip the paint off and polish them, that's what I plan on doing.

I painted the valve covers, altenator bracket, and intercooler piping red on mine.

1993 W250 4x4, hx40, timing bumped, fuel turned up. auto meter gauges, smoked 2nd gen cab lights, 2nd gen wheels.
2001 2500 4x4, silencer ring MIA, edge juice w/attitude, AEM work horse intake, 4" to 6" dual stacks, glow shift gauges, 2" leveling kit

If you strip the paint off the valve covers don't use sand paper. It will leave the surface too ruff to polish out. Guess how I know? :lol:
Sold 91 now-intercooled W250, 388WHP 923WTQ on #2 only 423WHP 968WTQ on meth 0% correction.

Some ?s about your rig: What is the rubber hose draped across your intake horn? What happened to your air filter? What turbo is that? Is this a daily-driven truck?

I've always painted my mess satin black. A touch of chrome by way of the charge-air plumbing band-clamps, silver/aluminum exhaust manifolds and housings, etc.

Ceramic coat the turbine and manifold? That is a clean engine bay.
91 Chev CC 4x4 1 ton w/93 12v g360/205/d60/70.
