With 5x12 sticks and the stock turbo? How heavy have you pulled and been alright? What all do you have done to your truck?

Thanks.

When I ran 370's with a stock turbo you really had to back out of it alot. It was very easy to pin the 1600deg pyro and trying to keep it at 1300 often times meant dropping a gear with 3/4 throttle remaining. You probably get maybe 225 useable hp from that setup. This is at about 23000lbs gross.

With my stage IV hybrid kit and the 16cm housing the 370's get real warm when towing too. Not good. I've pretty much come to the conclusion that the stock turbo is only good for a little over stock power.

Just enough power to break everything behind the crankshaft.

Ya that's what I figured, wanting to save up for a HX40 or 65/71/14 after I get the sticks and doing my NV4500 swap this tuesday. I only tow my 94 Jeep toy and ever now and than a pallet of 60lb bags of salt(about 2400lb), but mostly just a daily driver to work, school and what not.

So do you think I would be okay for awhile with 5x12's and stock turbo with very seldom towing? flat ground aroung here in florida and like said don't tow much and not very often.

Tring to figure out what size turbo to go with sence im going to 5 speed tuesday.

If you watch the pyro and dont lend it to any stupid in-laws, you should be ok with a stock turbo.
