need to remove the fan on a '93 12 valve ... and the fan on a 2002 24 valve engines .

with the wrench on the nut on the back of the fan , straight up and down , and facing the front of the truck . do i hit the top of the wrench towards the drivers side ( clockwise ) or to the passenger side ( counter clockwise ) to remove the fan ?

for the life of me i can't remember .... i'm also assuming both engines are the same with this .

thx :)

I use a wide, long chisel, carefully started on one of the "flutes".
2 or 3 good whacks usually does it.
I gave upon the "proper" wrenches to do those long ago, when a guy used an air powered SNAP-ON set-up and failed.
2 or 3 whacks with a chisel, and I was a believer in "my way".

Mark.
