missing injection pump parts

Postby markjmcdonald » Mon Jan 04, 2010 5:37 pm

where can i find a replacement bolt for the air fuel control tube? i recently bought the truck and it is missing. The dodge dealership said the part is no longer available and other part stores have no clue. Local bone yards do not have engines available or will not part out. this bolt i presume is a banjo bolt like a brake cliper bolt and threads into the diaphram housing on the injection pump. i would appreciate any info.

You can get it at any Cummins dealer, or a fuel injection shop. Or you can tap it to NPT and put a plastic tube line on it. The pot metal originals break real easy.

Just enough power to break everything behind the crankshaft.

I doubt the Dodge dealers have anything left for our trucks by now, and if they did it would be way overpriced. Anything for the engine should be coming from Cummins or Bosch.

They'll probably want you engine serial number, or the CPL number. Both are on the tag on the timing case by the IP. (injection pump ;) )

I have a few of those banjo bolts around. PM me an address, and I'll stick it in a padded envelope this week. You will still have the pot metal to deal with, but at least it wont drive like a 6.2 Chevy.
