First off I'm a newbie to Cummins and never EVER thought I would drive a Dodge. Well here I am with a W250 1993!
Bought an "Old Horse" for cheap and have a issue. I live in Quebec so keep in mind we're not sunnin' ourselves at this time of year.
Issue at hand:
Started truck yesterday after boosting it. Truck has been sitting for a couple of months so I installed dual 1000 cca batteries to conquer the winter.
Truck ran great (even surprised that the HUGE X cavern was toasty HOT!) except for the OD not working and making my 50 mile drive home a little slow. I fueled up on the way home (half-tank) .Crawled under the beast this morning to see the OD wire was disconnected.... YEAH easy fix. I had plugged in the block heater to see if it worked and it does. So I do the hit the grid twice and let er rip. Ok no rip. Turns over great but no go.
I thought maybe the fuel line froze up, maybe water in the old fuel. I pushed up the release on the fuel filter and liquid came out. So I fuel in the filter.
I read a bunch of stuff on the forum(s) and tried to see if the lift pump was pumping. The truck is on an incline in my driveway, so I thought hummm.
I cracked the bango bolt and starter to manualy pump. Nada. yes it's the position that allows full stroke. tried numerous times and nothing.
Went off and bought some fuel conditioner and dropped some in the tank.
I left it for an hour and tried again. Nada. crawl under the truck and follow the fuel line and bump into the electronic thing in the middle of the frame. WTF is that?
Any ideas??
The saga continues........
