correct me if i did somthing wrong but i got destroied by the KPD! my truck is a 92 4x4 manual i had the engine loose and hanging from the picker and the god forsakin thing would not come out! so with everything dangeling from the mounts and picker i had to procede to taking the dang tranny out 5 and a half hours later from the start of this project i finally got the engine high enough to push the truck out from underneath.....was i overlooking somthing simple or with the manual truck is that just somthing you have to do? i have pulled countless 2nd and 3 gen autos with absolute ease after taking the head off! this just blows my mind!!!!

I'd think it'd be easier to pull the engine with the tranny dropped first. You have to come forward enough to clear the input shaft to pull the engine.

They last few I've done is if your just need the engine out leave the transmission as high to the cab as you can get. Pull the motor mounts all the way out instead of leaving them on the motor. Really helps me anyway. Makes installation a breeze also when you go back dont put them on till all the bell housing bolts are in and tight. ;)

Was reading on comp diesel and alot of guys were sayn it was easier pulling the cab????? How is that possible?????

BS. You have to pull the hood and fenders to get the cab off. Not to mention the brake lines, or the booster, steering column, wiring harness, e-brake cable. I don't call that easier by a long shot.

If you're desperate, cut the center of the core support and weld it back when you're done. ;)

Just enough power to break everything behind the crankshaft.
