turbo whine

is it normal that i do not hear the turbo whine intill it has been running for about 5-10 minuts, when i firdt start it ther is no whine and when i come back outside minuts later u can her it whisteling threw the stack

When the ngine is cold (sitting all night) pull off the aire intake tube and try to spin the wheel... It should spin very easy.

yup it spins easy, is it normal for the turbo whistel to start being heard a couple minuts after the first start up of the day?

Until stuff warms up it will act different.

It's normal. I can start my truck cold and not hear the turbo through my stacks, but let it sit and warm out and you can definitely hear the turbo over the exhaust.

the cold engine oil is thicker and therfore the turbo is not going to spin as fast when the engine is cold
93 d350 extended cab dually, 5 speed, he351cw, industrial man ported, ported head, 60# springs, 6x16's, ballanced, coated slugs, lowerd comp, 354 spring, piston lp, 1/2 lines, con f, home made water in the works still not running but getting close
