Dynomite Diesel Injector Nozzels, Anyone Using Them?

Postby doublel89 » Tue Jan 26, 2010 7:46 pm

Already have a set of their 40 horse injectors in my truck, finally have a turbo that can keep up with my fuel and clean the dozer dust up and have thought about putting the 75 or 100 horse nozzels on my stock injectors, Anyone have thoughts about it? I've been real happy with everything i've gotten from Dynomite to this point.

I run a custom made set, 70 LPM, the 80 hp ones are 55 LPM. I am very happy with them. I run a 62/65/12 turbo and the temps stay in check, but has enough haze to make me believe more air is in order at full throttle. If you drive normal, there is no more smoke than stock. If you roll into the pedal, there is very little smoke even when you get on it. I have not towed with them yet so I can't comment on smoke or temps with a load but I would imagine it to be very manageable. They are expensive but worth it I think.

DDP says a 5x0.010" P477 nozzle flows 38LPM, I'd say it flows 1.825LPM, which sounds more realistic?

DDP means air and your talking diesel, correct?

one liter is 0.264172052 gallons... so 38liter is 10.03 gallons

If a single injector flowed 38LPM then all six would use 60.18 gallons in 60 seconds of full throttle use. or 6 10 second passes at teh strip. I know my fuel gaige drops fast but not that fast.

On teh other hand I could be looking at this entirly wrong!

I bet on the latter...

I've run a couple sets of DDP4's on my 93, and can't complain at all. The truck stays cool, and tows with no issues(haven't exceeded 10K trailer weight).

With pump mods, piston pump, 62/12 turbo, DennyT Stg2 pin, DDP4+s, it runs pretty strong. Ask DennyT, he's ridden in the truck with this setup.

They were advertised as 100HP. The ones I have now are about 120HP, based on testing.

The injector thread has some details on DDP injectors.
