Fuel lines?

Postby jeff77indy » Tue Feb 23, 2010 10:57 am

Anyone running the larger fuels from the tank to the filter/lift pump and then to the IP?
I was thinking on something similar to the big line kit from Geno's/Vulcan with the AN fittings and such. Is this worth while?
I found where one member installed his own version of a draw straw would this be worth while on a basicly stock 12 valve?
I've done these to my 2001 Ram 2500 24 valve.

I increased my line size from the factory 5/16" size to a true 3/8" size starting right at the tank connector. I don't think I gained anything by doing it other than slightly increasing the flow to the lift pump. I kept the return line the same as it was at 5/16" For those of you who haven't had the line off, it turns out the line is actually 5/16" going in both directions as installed from the factory in 1991.5 trucks. The ends are flared out to 3/8" OD.
