i recently bought a 1992 d250 bone stock 275k miles on the old girl i love the truck 20mpg is awesome but i need and want more power i have owed a dodge from every decade and am fairly handy with tools i hold a good knowledge of 4wd parts and conversion i am in the parts gathering stage of my coversion into a w250 i want to do some sled pulling with it and i am curious where to start and what to do to start building the power i would like to be somewhere around 450 hp so all thoughts and idea are greatly appreciated thanks

The first thing you should do is beef up that transmission. Personally, I'd go with a lockup tranny (47rh found in '94 and '95 2nd Gen's) but if you don't want to go that route at the very least you need a good converter. Dave Goerend is the man to go to for a Dodge automatic. There is no point on making more power if it doesn't make it to the ground.

i have the transmission taken care of i have a person here in central florida that is amazing with anything automatic so i will go that route with the trans i am in interested in turbo upgrades and injector ungrades and fuel pump upgrades and that sort of thing there seems to be alot of people that talk about s300 or s400 and i am personaly curious about twins because theres guy here locally that told me its not possible and i love to prove people wrong lol but i wanna make sure i do things in a way that all the parts match i.e. not since adding a bunch of fuel and stock turbo or big turbo on a stock pump

Twins are most certainly not impossible, there's tons of guys on here and other sites with twins on a first gen.

Watch it! JAyers is asking about how to size 2 small atmosphere turbos for a triples build! :shock:
