snoot, i think the scoops would look cool, if they were infact functional, what are you running for rpm's vs boost i agree with the idea that u need more fuel clearly u have the air side handled

The only function they will have for now is providing the engine compartment with cool air. This will help with summer time driving. I have had less heat under the hood with the twins already but when it gets to be 70-80 degrees out its a hole different story.

That hood is gona be cool, and i agree with every one i think your truck has alot more
HP in it and still be drivable, you should be able to run a low 13 i would think.

Agree on the power lvl. Just learning to drive with twins is quit an adjustment in itself. Twice now I have lifted to fast and blown air into my injectors. Engine shuts off
right now when this happens. One time it happened when I was merging onto the freeway and I had to pull off to the side of the freeway to bleed the injectors. The first time I
was in a little acceleration race with a FURD and let up to fast. I just to the next exit and came to a slow stop on the side of the road.

I was surprized at the following. Last year my best with just my S300 and current fueling I did a best run of 16.48 in the 1/4 mile. This year with a little wind on the back side I ran
a 14.13 with no fueling changes. My pump has lots of turns left in the pump. I know 13's are not going to be a problem at all. I have to start looking for a new drivers jacket already have
a helmet as I need both to run 13.99 or quicker..

A shutdown after a full-throttle run sounds pretty rough on equipment. Is this a common thing with twins?

Its not the lack of fuel that is causing this. When you lift real fast with higher cylinder pressures a small amount of air enters the tip of the injector. This small amount will put the fire out. If I lift slower it will not happen.
The pump itself is not running out of fuel that is a different symptom and will cause the truck to run rough when lifting slowly out of it.
At WOT I still have about 10PSI of the fuel pressure gauge.

To answer your question yes its a common problem weather its a 12V or 24V truck with twins.

Is there a well-known way to get rid of the pressure? I've got an S400 laying around I hope to use one day, so this is crappy news to me. :/

A micro-switch on the throttle linkage hooked to some sort of solenoid on the intake is one of the easier ways I could see to vent it off. Have it open at idle position and vent it into a filter of some sort. I wonder how much Ford IACs can vent off...

I haven't really looked into it, but I've yet to figure out how these work on a diesel. On a gasser, the butterfly closing either causes a pressure spike that pops the valve, or a vaccum on the engine side that moves an actuator. On a diesel, there is no vacuum, and I can't see where a pressure spike would happen. Maybe a sudden lack of gasses on the exhaust side from the sudden lack of fuel? Run it off drive pressure, then it would act something like a vacuum-operated BOV and stay open at low exhaust pressure, and close as pressure rises.

Or maybe I'm overthinking this and someone who actually knows will explain it in one sentence.

Well, it depends on how much you want spend.
BD has one for '94 up trucks that uses the TPS. Don't know if it can be adapted to 1st gens with a TPS. Source Automotive sells some that are much simpler (blowoff based on pressure only). The price difference is huge.
Here are some links:

But I don't know if one would fix the problem SNOOT is having. :?

First time that happened to me was on the dyno. Just about pooped. Hard run, 1350*, 3400 rpm, to what I thought was a seized engine. This is the first I've heard a description of what happened. I just figured there was too much fuel or something and it put it out. This makes a lot more sense though.
